Walking the Cat

22 Oct

Jaffa has taken to accompanying us on our morning walks with Poppy.

Poppy and Jaffa in drive

The first time he came with us we thought it was because he hadn’t been up for his breakfast and decided to keep us in his sight to make sure we came back to feed him!

But today he’s followed us into the woods again. This is a whole fascinating new world.

He trots along behind Poppy, occasionally sprinting past her or disappearing into undergrowth.

We’ve had overnight rain and he’s not too keen on the muddy bits. There was none of this gooey stuff last time he came here.

Now they are even walking side by side

How hilarious! Badger came with me yesterday to deliver our village newsletters. He walked up each drive and waited until I had posted the letters then strolled back home with me. He could be Jaffa’s walking buddy!!

Oh that’s gorgeous! Such beautiful photos and how nice to be able to do that to. I’m sure Hermie (our orange tiger) would like to do this but there’s too many cars on our street at the start of the walk for him to feel safe 😦 But he & Izzie are often waiting out the front for us to get back, & Hermie especially greets the dogs with a rub against their legs 🙂
